The boys totally crack up every time they pass gas. Which knowing that Bryan is their dad, that probably does not surprise you. I have never seen them once get embarrassed by doing so either. Now passing gas is like a game to them. They like to fart on each other & other people. This weekend Kelly & I were rough housing with the boys and they would think it was hilarious that they would fart on us when we would grab them. I can be sitting on the floor, playing cards with Trey and Tate will walk over (his butt is at my head level) and he farts on my head.
I really can't believe that I am telling that story, but this is what happens when you are over- powered by all boys. Bryan loves to encourage it & he likes to join in on the action too. I think that Trey & Tate do get a huge feeling of accomplishment when they get Bryan though. How do they get Bryan? Well, in the morning the boys like to come in my room and watch tv & get dressed for the day. One of them will ask me which one is Bryan's pillow & they will go sit on it and fart. I think that is funny.

Appropriate Timing
So, I am loving remembering all the great stories that we have---I really wish that I would have started this sooner. This is the story that I remembered this weekend.
The boys & I were out shopping when they were about 3 & 4 years old. Shopping is not my favorite thing to do with them, but I had to go. We were in The Limited & I was trying on this black dress and Tate looked at me and said, "Mommy you are so beautiful in your dress." My heart just melted and I was telling him he was so sweet and how much I loved him. Well, I guess Trey felt a little left out because the next store we went into was Victoria's Secret. Victoria's Secret is really a dreaded store to go to with the boys, but again, it had to be done. So, I was trying on a bra and Trey looked at me and said, "Mommy that is so pretty on you." Not really the really the appropriate store or clothing garment, but I totally appreciated his comment too. I told him how much I loved him too & we were done shopping.

When I Grow Up
Last week I had to take Tate to the doctors office, again. He had an ear infection, again. So, while we were waiting for the Dr. to write the script I said to Tate that he should be a doctor when he grows up. He says, "No way Mom! I told you I am going to be a McDonald's drive through guy." I told him that doctors make way more $$$ than a McDonald's drive through guy. And he told me: no they don't, look how much $$$ they get from the people driving through. Wow! The thinking of a 5 year old.
Thank goodness that Trey wants to be a Gym teacher.

How Do You Spell...
Bryan was at a UC basketball game last month and the boys & I were just hanging out. It was a school night and I was cleaning up the kitchen and the boys were playing on the computer. Trey came running into the kitchen saying,"Mom, mom, how do you spell sexy cause I want to look up some videos on YouTube." I didn't know how to respond. I was quiet for a minute. He said it all without missing a beat. He was on a mission. Like all 7 year olds are looking up "sexy videos". I told him....no more computer. No, that was what I was thinking though. I asked him why and then he got all embarrassed. I don't think that he knows what the word sexy meant--or at least that is what I am telling myself. We have now set limits on YouTube & the internet.
Feminine Hygiene--Two Boy's Perspective
Admist our crazy morning of trying to get out of the house about 4 months ago, I had my hands full of everything I needed for my day--including feminine hygiene products. Tate looks at me with his eyes wide open and says, "Mom, that is not fair. How come you get to take popsicles to work with you?" I was dumbfounded. The boys have always said off the wall things to me, but I was not ready to talk about girl products with them, especially that early in the morning. Which is why I am so glad that Trey was there to help me out. Trey states,"Tate, those aren't popsicles. That is girl toilet paper." And with that we were out the door.
I thought about it on the way to work. How in the world did Trey come up with "girl toilet paper" then it dawned on me....something is usually way too urgent for them to wait for me to get out of the bathroom.

My First Post
I really can't believe that I am starting my own blog! I have heard & heard about this kind of thing, but didn't think that I would ever start my own. Until now. My friend has her blog & I totally get why she is doing it now. I have so many great stories, that I swear I will never be able to forget--BUT I do. I want to be able to share those stories with family & friends and this seems like the perfect way to do it.
I really wish that there were things like this when our family started. Oh, the stories I could tell/remember then. Bryan & I have been together for what seems like forever and will actually add up to 9 years of marriage this year. Time flies when you are having fun! We have two awesome boys, Trey (7 years old) & Tate (5 years old). They are best friends & are perfect in my eyes. This blog is going to be a great way to record all our family fun & craziness.
